    How to Give in New York City

    Drop Off

    • Call 212-736-1777 to schedule an appointment.
    • We are located at 306 W. 37th Street (btw. 8th and 9th Aves), 8th Floor.
    • You can come to our loft or we can meet you downstairs at our freight entrance on 37th Street.
    • Drop offs may be made Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm

    Pick Up

    • Call 212-736-1777 to schedule a pick-up in New York City.
    • We will ask you to pay a tax-deductible courier fee based on the pick-up location and number of pieces donated. View rate chart
    • Your Location Size of Donation Cost
      Manhattan – Battery Park to 86th St. Up to 3 large bags/pieces $27 ($3 each additional piece)
      Manhattan – 87th St. to 124th St. Up to 3 large bags/pieces $37 ($3 each additional piece)
      Manhattan – 125th St. & above Up to 3 large bags/pieces $47 ($3 each additional piece)
      Downtown Brooklyn Up to 3 large bags/pieces $54 ($3 each additional piece)
      Brooklyn (besides downtown), Bronx & Queens Up to 3 large bags/pieces $60 ($3 each additional piece)
      Staten Island Up to 3 large bags/pieces $74 ($3 for each additional piece)
    • The fee is added to the value of your donation. The total amount will be reflected on the tax receipt we will mail to you.
    • We consider a piece to be one large item: a stroller, a large bag of clothes, a box of books and a bouncy seat are each considered one piece.
    • Please have all donated items ready for pick-up at the time the couriers are scheduled to arrive.
    • We cannot accommodate same-day pickups due to the number of donations we receive.

    Before You Donate, Please…

    • Review the list of items we do and do not accept. The list is on the right-side of this page.
    • Make sure clothing has been washed and gear has been cleaned. We only accept items that are free of stains and in great condition. Please donate items you would be happy to receive yourself or pass along to a family member or close friend.
    • Be sure that games and toys have all their pieces and parts.
    • Try to include manuals and instruction books for gear.
    • Pack goods in heavy-duty garbage bags or sturdy boxes.
    • Determine the estimated value of your donation for tax purposes. Donation value is generally 50% of retail cost.
    • For safety reasons, the goods we receive need to be in working order; we have a very small staff and are unable to repair faulty or damaged items.
    • Check that the items you are planning to donate have not been recalled by visiting Consumer Product Safety Commission at www.cpsc.gov.

    Tax Deductions

    All donations made to Baby Buggy are fully tax deductible; your information will be collected when you call to schedule a pickup. If you have any further questions, please contact Rick Justiniano at Rick@babybuggy.org or 212-736-1777

    Cancellations

    If you need to cancel your scheduled pick-up for any reason, please call 212-736-1777 by 4pm the business day before the pickup. Donors who cancel after this time will be charged for the cost of the pick-up.
