How can I make a financial contribution?

If you have any questions about Baby Buggy, Please contact us at:
info@BabyBuggy.org

The beneficiaries of your generosity are organizations with years of hands-on experience helping people in need. Together with our partners, we help families in poverty who are living in homeless and domestic violence shelters and those being served by community organizations.

A recipient of clothing and gear from Baby Buggy may be a mother who is fleeing a violent situation with her young children, a young mother living in a homeless shelter who is working hard to achieve economic independence for herself and her children, or a mother coping with substance abuse attempting to rehabilitate herself while also trying to provide for her newborn.

There appears to be no end to the need we are trying to fill. In fact, your donations are going directly to a family who needs these items desperately. Some of our community partners include:

Family Court Children’s Centers - provide day care by licensed teachers while adults are in court or filing papers. Baby Buggy provides needed items to the thousands of children that visit these centers each year.

Harlem Children’s Zone - works to enhance the quality of life for the children and families in some of New York City’s most devastated neighborhoods. In collaboration with their initiatives that support families in caring for their children, Baby Buggy supplies needed infant gear and clothing.

NYC Administration for Children's Services/Family Preservation Programs (FPPs) - are linked to the city agency charged with keeping all children safe. These programs seek to stabilize families in order to keep children safe and avert foster care placement. Family Preservation reduces risk to children through supportive services to families including family and individual counseling, parenting classes, substance abuse treatment, domestic violence intervention, and home care. With the help of Baby Buggy donations, caseworkers are now able to supply critical items such as infant carriers, strollers, cribs, diapers and bassinets for families in crisis.

NYC Department of Homeless Services/Home Base Program - was recently launched as a homelessness prevention initiative in six communities throughout the city where the threat of homelessness hangs over far too many families. The program will work to keep people in their homes and out of New York City shelters by providing such services as landlord-tenant mediation, substance abuse counseling, and help with creating and staying on a family budget. For the Home Base programs in Jamaica, Queens, East Harlem, Bedford Stuyvesant, Bushwick, East Tremont, and the South Bronx, Baby Buggy provides essential items for infants and young children in the families being served.

Safe Horizon - touches the lives of over 250,000 New Yorkers each year and is New York City's leading provider of victim assistance with over 75 programs in all five boroughs. Through Safe Horizon shelters Baby Buggy reaches hundreds of families and single mothers who desperately need your donations.

Sanctuary For Families - provides essential services to survivors of domestic violence, including emergency shelter and transitional housing, individual and group counseling, legal services, children’s programs and job readiness. Through Sanctuary For Families, Baby Buggy’s items reach hundreds of mothers and children who are trying to end the violence in their lives.

Women In Need - serves over 4,000 homeless and disadvantaged women and their children each year. Women In Need addresses the leading causes of homelessness: housing, domestic violence, substance abuse, and lack of job skills or education. Your donation helps Baby Buggy provide the essential gear and clothing to the infants in their eight homeless shelters in Manhattan, Bronx and Brooklyn.

"In this challenging fiscal environment, many of the items that you have provided would be difficult, if not impossible, for us to provide for the children. The new and gently used strollers, highchairs, toys, books and clothing that Baby Buggy provides are much needed by the children in care and have an immediate impact on their lives."

William C. Bell, Commissioner, NYC Administration for Children's Services

"Many of the clients we serve come to us with little more than the clothing on their backs and a few belongings stuffed into an overnight bag. Baby Buggy's donations enable us to change that, providing our clients with infant and toddler clothing and equipment that is of the highest quality, allowing them to move forward with confidence."

Laurel Eisner, Executive Director, Sanctuary For Families

"We could never provide the depth of services we do without the help and support of generous donors like Baby Buggy."

Bonnie Stone, Executive Director, Women In Need

"Many of the women we serve did not have the means to provide the bare necessities to their newborn children. Your compassion and generosity gave these victims one less thing to worry about."

Gordon Campbell, Executive Director, Safe Horizon

"Please know that Baby Buggy's support and expression of confidence in the promise within the young people we serve, makes a critical difference in their ability to overcome poverty and lead independent, productive lives."

Gladys Carrion, Executive Director, Inwood House

"Baby Buggy gave me my own personal baby shower at a time that I could not look to the future or deal with seeing my family and friends."
